This contact pin is coated with conductive carbon, and there are no direct contact with gold on the pin and solder, and prevent the solder migration. In addition, due to its high slidablity, it has low friction an high hardness, which enable to achieve high durability.

If the PKG plating uses har plating such as Pd, the tip of the contact pin will wear out with repeated contacting. If you are looking for a high durable socket with low contact resistance, we recommend this carbon coated socket.
